What on earth am I to do?

I’ve never been this shade of blue

 

I’ve been turquoise 

Navy too

I’ve even been a pale maroon

 

But this colour is brand new

It’s almost grey

In some spots, see-through

Like the sky some afternoons

 

In certain lights, it looks chartreuse 

I’m at a loss 

Perplexed, confused

 

Even the doctor has no clue

Her words and pills

They have no use

 

In times like these, I just want you 

But I would never put you through

Seeing such a nasty hue

 

So I just sit

And let it stew.
