About me

Hey there! My name is Simran Ahira and I am a multidisciplinary artist from the UK. I was born in London in 1998 and currently reside in Woking, Surrey. I have been making art and music for as long as I can remember. I like drawing inspiration from my own experiences and also from the world around me. A lot of my work focuses on themes of mental health and feminism. I studied film at University of the Arts London and won the 2018 Camberwell Short Film Festival with a film I directed. Currently, my preferred medium is painting and I have exhibited my artwork in a number of exhibitions across the UK. In 2024, I was nominated for Surrey Artist of the Year. I am also a songwriter and have performed my music at many venues across the UK, including at the Royal Albert Hall in London, and have performed live on BBC radio twice. I also have experience working as a freelance illustrator and photographer and enjoy writing poetry. Keep up with what I'm up to by following me on Instagram :-)
