The bathroom bin is overflowing 

A used shaving razor topples out onto the floor 

And rests beside empty toilet paper rolls

 

The bedroom bin is overflowing 

Empty antidepressant packets balance on top of 

Scrunched up pieces of paper

 

The kitchen bin is overflowing 

The lid sits open on top of an empty milk bottle

 

My head is overflowing 

A thought balances precariously on top of the rest:

“Empty the bins” it reads

It topples out onto the floor

And rests beside the used shaving razor.
